Ramazan Abdulatipov: “We feel support of Daghestanis“

Makhachkala, May 15, 2013. On Monday, May 13, the acting Daghestani President Ramazan Abdulatipov held a working meeting attended by the chairman of Daghestan Legislative Assembly Khizri Shikhsaidov, Daghestan Prime Minister Mukhtar Mejidov, the Interim Head of Daghestan President and Government Administration Shakhabas Shakhov, the first deputy Chairman of Daghestan Legislative Assembly Nikolai Alchiev, the interim first deputy Chairman of Daghestan government Anatoly Karibov, deputy prime ministers and the heads of law enforcement agencies.

 

Opening the session, Daghestani Head expressed his gratitude to Daghestan government, mayors and law enforcement authorities for carrying out activities dedicated to May holidays.

 

“Currently, Daghestan is actively involved into a long-term reform process - R. Abdullatipov noted. - So everyone who wants to deal with the problems of Daghestan should be involved into the process. The reform was initiated by the Russian President and the will of all Daghestanis. People are tired of unpredictability that has long been observed in the republic. They want a quiet, peaceful life. We feel support from the ordinary citizens who are actively involved in the work. The law and order will be restored.

 

We started the implementation of major priority projects in specific directions. The work should be more predictable and targeted.”

 

Speaking about security issues, the acting Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov noted that Dagestanis should help the law enforcement agencies to “clear” the settlements from bandits.

 

Besides, at the meeting, Ramazan Abdulatipov raised the problem of imparting the traditions of Daghestan culture and education to the young generation. In this regard Daghestani Head instructed to make a study guide, which would include Daghestani famous poets’ works such as Rasul Gamzatov, Irchi Kazak, Omarla Batyrai, Suleiman Stalskii and others.

 

"It is necessary to establish Daghestan Conservatory of Music, laboratories of national costumes and instruments. All the initiatives must be based on the spiritual and moral potential of Russian and Daghestani traditions" - R. Abdulatipov pointed out.

 

Then, the meeting continued behind closed doors.
