Daghestani designers and craftsmen ready to make national costumes

Makhachkala, April 25, 2013. Daghestani designers and craftsmen are ready to produce national costumes, which was discussed at a "round table" in Daghestan Centre of folk arts and crafts in Makhachkala. Participants discussed issues related to implementing orders of the acting Daghestani President Ramazan Abdulatipov to design costumes for Daghestan Constitution Day.
Gamzat Gazimagomedov, the Deputy Chairman of Daghestan Committee for National Arts and Crafts, Zarema Butaeva, the Deputy Daghestan Minister of Culture, Daghestan designers designing and sewing traditional clothing, tailor enterprises and workshops’ heads came to the conference.
According to G. Gazimagomedov, a certain volume of work has already been done, now we need to proceed to the project’s final stage, i.e., producing costumes. Costume designs will be on display in the exhibition hall of Daghestan Centre of folk arts and crafts, so that everyone can see and order them.
