CSTO Secretary General accuses Azerbaijan of provocation

The CSTO Secretariat with great anxiety acceoted the information about the armed incident near Chinari village of Armenia. We consider these actions on the territory of the CSTO member state as a provocation, particularly against the background of rather severe incidents in Nagorno-Karabakh with the use of heavy weapons and armored vehicles in April of this year, " reads the statement of the CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha.

"It would seem, that with consideration of efforts that have been made on both sides, as well as the leaders of a number of states, the process of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem finally will develop more actively. However, the information coming recently from the region of regular reports on violations of the ceasefire, and the incident on December 29 led to the deaths of military personnel, cause serious concern," noted the statement.

Official Baku has not commented on this sattement.
