Очередной визит ФЛНКА в Европу
Лезгины становятся частью сообщества европейских нацменьшинств
Делегация ФЛНКА вчера вылетела в Данию для участия в Конгрессе Федералистского Союза европейских национальных меньшинств (FUEN). Оно пройдет в пограничном с Данией немецком городе Фленсбург 7-11 мая 2014 года. Федеральную лезгинскую национально-культурную автономию будут представлять Президент Ариф Керимов, член Совета, руководитель Сектора Кавказа Центра цивилизационных и региональных исследований РАН Энвер Кисриев и руководитель Международного департамента Татьяна Чубрикова. Выступление делегации ФЛНКА включено в повестку дня Конгресса FUEN.

About The Federal Lezghin National and Cultural Autonomy (FLNCA):
The Federal Lezghin National and Cultural
Autonomy (FLNCA) is the representative of the Lezghin people in the UNPO
(Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation), and a full representative of
the Lezghin people before the State authorities of the Russian Federation. The
core objectives and tasks of FLNCA are the protection, preservation and
development of the national and cultural interests of the Lezghins. To fulfill
its intentions the FLNCA works in close cooperation with political and public
organizations of the Russian Federation, including the Federal Assembly of the
Russian Federation, the Administration of the President, and the Government of
the Russian Federation.
The aim of FLNCA is to solve issues and
restrictions surrounding the status of the Lezghins, to preserve the uniqueness
of the Lezghin people, as well as to develop their language, education and
national culture.
Activities and achievements:
FLNCA has focused on raising public
awareness of the problems that Lezghins face in Azerbaijan and Dagestan. FLNCA
has arranged all-Russia conferences, round tables and other public awareness
campaigns to attract attention of the governments and civil society to the
violation of Lezghin minority rights, particularly in Azerbaijan. FLNCA has
prepared and disseminated jointly with UNPO an Alternative Report on Azerbaijan
for the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. FLNCA President
has made a statement on the violation of the Lezghin minority rights with
regard to their language and culture at the 50th UN session in Geneva in April-May 2013.
Recommendation:
The FUEN Presidium recommends that the
Federal Lezghin National and Cultural Autonomy (FLNCA) will be admitted as an
ordinary member. FUEN Vice President Olga Martens has visited FLNCA. FLNCA
participated in the FUEN Congress 2013 in Brixen, South Tyrol.
Size of the minority:
1,500,000 in total, with 600,000 living in the Russian Federation and 800,000 living in Azerbaijan
