European Union Allocates 3.5 Million Euros to Baku for Migration Management
The European Union has allocated Azerbaijan 3.5 million EUR to strengthen the work on migration management. This was reported by the head of the EU office in Azerbaijan Malena Mard at the presentation of the project and the Handbook of European Legislation on Asylum, Migration and Borders on February 1.
She noted that this issue would remain a priority in the relations between Baku and Brussels in the light of the migration problem.
The implementation of the two-year project will take place in several stages, during which training and other activities will be organized. In particular, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan will be handed over equipment worth 400,000 EUR, Mard said.
