Habib Allakhverdiev: "I dream to become a WBC champion”
Makhachkala, June 30, 2013. The world champion in the weight category up to 63.5 kg, certificated by World Boxing Association, Habib Allakhverdiev is dreaming about another belt of prestigious organizations - the World Boxing Council.
"I had dreamed to become a world champion recognized by the WBA, and I did it to go further. I dream to win the new title of WBC. I like it the most. I will do my best to gain it.
I have made every effort to recover from my injury soon. Sometimes, of course, I'm having pain in the hands, but the pain doesn’t prevent me to fight. There will be any problem in the upcoming fight with a Frenchman Suleyman Mbaye.
At the moment I am in good physical shape. But I have to conduct 5-6 sparring that help me to lose weight and regain my speed. The speed is one of my most important advantages. They called me a favorite of the upcoming battle, but I don’t think about it. The most important thing is to study the opponent, to know his strengths and weaknesses and to be in the best mood"- the athlete concluded.
