Makhachkala, April 10, 2013. In late October 2012, RIA Novosti launched a new internet project – the "Russia for Everyone" portal. Initially, the portal showed pages in a few languages - Azeri, Buryat, Chechen, Tajik, Kyrgyz, and Tajik. Six months ago there appeared Dagestani page which was presented today in the editorial office of the Avar "Istina" (truth) newspaper. There are 2 page versions - Russian and Avar ones.
Patimat Rasulova, Reporting Editor of the portal, told about the portal’s goals. According to her, the main goal is to harmonize interethnic relations and help Dagestanis adapt to life in big Russian cities. The internet resource is a separate mass medium. The portal reveals life of national diasporas and migrants in Moscow, informs readers about the culture, traditions, and today’s life of representatives of different nationalities living in Russia.
The site includes sections such as "Dagestanis in Moscow," "History and Traditions", "Learning a Language", "Sports", "News from Home," "Address Book", "Holidays", "Cuisine".
The portal gets informational support from the public, governmental, and diasporas’ organizations, and religious boards. Although the project is only six months old, it has already won a Runet award – the Russian national award for contributing to the development of the Internet’s Russian segment.
