Special center to deal with preventing extremism in Dagestan
The Center for Extremism Prevention, a municipal state-funded facility, will begin operating in the Derbent Region of Dagestan from November 1st 2014, according to the head of the center, Sevil Navruzova.
The main goal of the center is returning people who decide to stop extremist and terrorist activities to a peaceful life, as well as serious work with young people of the so-called risk group, due to their radical religious views. It will help to prevent many negative phenomena in society and improve the stable situation not only in Dagestan, but in the North Caucasus in general, RIA Dagestan reports.
