Hraparak: Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting may take place in June
Category: June will be an active month with respect to political meetings and visits. The “long-awaited” meeting between Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev may take place on June 12 in Salzburg, Hraparak daily says. Despite the increased pressures on the conflict sides from both Russia and the West, experts do not have great expectations from the meeting and view it as an attempt to maintain the negotiation process and not to lose control of it in view of the Syria events and the upcoming presidential elections in Iran.
The paper adds that the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk will visit the region on June 23.
