Ilham Aliyev reproaches the OSCE Minsk Group

 

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Pierre Andrieu (France), Igor Popov (Russia), James Warlick (USA), and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman, Andrzej Kasprzyk. According to the website of the President of Azerbaijan, Aliyev said that the Armenian leadership does not stop provocation. He recalled that after the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in October last year in Paris, the  Armenian side started the large-scale military exercises in the occupied territories. The Azerbaijani side did not answer a few days. But when the Armenian helicopters openly threatened  the Azerbaijani positions, one helicopter was destroyed. Armenia periodically shelled civilians, choosing as target a wedding celebration, resulted in the injury of civilians.

Aliyev noted with regret that the international community, in particular, the mediators do not express an adequate response to these aggressive actions. Moreover, the regime of Sargsyan recently made another political provocation, declaring Nagorno Karabakh a part of Armenia. Mediators do not respond to these allegations, which cast a shadow on their mission, Aliyev said.

Then they discussed the current state and prospects of settlement of the Karabakh  conflict.
