More than RUR 5 billion to be allocated for the demographic situation improvement in Daghestan
Makhachkala, June 6, 2013. The Republican target program "Improving the demographic situation in Daghestan for the period till 2018" will take more than RUR 5 billion, Daghestan Ministry of Labor and Social Development official reports. The program will be subsidized from the federal and republican and municipal budgets and the off-budget funds.
The draft law "On approval of the republican target program "Improving the demographic situation in Daghestan for the period till 2018" was adopted by the republican parliament in the first reading on May 30. The final version of the bill is expected to be adopted in June.
The new program envisages a package of measures aimed at improving the demographic situation as well as the general quality of life of Daghestanis.
Taking into account all existing problems, the target program "Improving the demographic situation in Daghestan for the period till 2018" is sbdivided into two phases: 2014-2015, 2016-2018 years and three priority directions of work - "Reduction of infant mortality and population health improvement"," Social support for families with children and senior citizens and people with disabilities " and "Migration and labor mobility".
To accomplish these tasks it is planned to supply maternity and children's hospitals with modern diagnostic and medical equipment, to develop recommendations for care, prevention and rehabilitation measures at home for parents having children at high risk of neurological disorders, as well as developing outpatient and emergency medical and intensive care in order to prevent premature and preventable deaths of citizens.
