Dagestani leader wants republic’s joining Russian Empire to become regional holiday
Dagestani acting President Ramazan Abdulatipov wants the 200-th anniversary of Dagestan’s joining the Russian Empire to become a holiday for all regions of North Caucasus, as stated at the North Caucasus Parliamentary Association.
He noted that some feudal areas of the republic merged with Russia in the XVI-XVII centuries.
Abdulatipov discussed interregional cooperation at the Stavropol Territory. He emphasized the need for more active cooperation between MPs.
Chechen Speaker of Parliament Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov noted that MPs of the NCFD had numerous meetings with the public.
