The prosecutor's office arranged a search in the apartment of Matanat Azizova

On Saturday morning, prosecutors arrived at the apartment of the human rights activist Matanat Azizova with the aim to conduct a search. Azizova heads Women's Crisis Centre, which is a partner organization of the Institute for Peace and Democracy, led by Leila Yunus.
In the apartment there is only her infant son and she herself is absent, so the prosecutors await her arrival.
Attempts to contact with Azizova failed, but she had been summoned for questioning before.
Recall that Azizova is a witness in the case filed against Yunus. But what exactly the human rights activists are suspected of is still not explained by the prosecutors, who argue that they are investigating allegations of espionage against the journalist Rauf Mirkadirov .
