Several more Dagestani functionaries to be punished for corruption
220 criminal cases on corruption were initiated in Dagestan in 9 months this year, says Oleg Potanin, deputy head of the section for procedural control of the Dagestani Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee, RIA Dagestan reports.
There were 196 such cases initiated throughout 2013. 178 cases have already been sent to the court (165 in 2014). The number of corruption-related cases rises in Dagestan every year. The maximum bribe sum has grown too. 20-25 bribe-related crimes were registered in 2012, 51 this year. The highest bribe sum this year was 1.7 million rubles.
