Khadija Ismayilova will provide financial assistance to the newspaper "Azadlig"

 

The arrested journalist Khadija Ismayilova stated  readiness to provide financial assistance to the newspaper "Azadlig", experiencing serious financial problems due to pressure from the authorities. According to Meydan TV close to the journalist, Khadija is concerned about the possibility of closing the newspaper because of financial difficulties and intends to give her version of small savings. Earlier, a similar initiative was made by another political prisoner, deputy chairman of the party "Musavat" Tofig Yagublu. The journalist was arrested on 5 December last year on trumped-up charges. Very soon, she was recognized as a prisoner of conscience, the international community and the democratic public are convinced that it is being punished for the corruption investigation concerning the country's top leadership.

A leading newspaper of the country "Azadlig", is subjected to pressure authorities for the same reasons. The authorities block the reception of advertising and impede the payment for the sold copies of the newspaper. Debts  of  government agencies today exceeds 70 thousand manat, but the editorial office  cannot achieve them for several years.
