Khadija Ismayilova: Support the "Azadlig"!

The imprisoned investigative journalist Khadija Ismailova appealed to the public in connection with the threat of closure of the newspaper "Azadlig" because the publisher debts. The statement by the journalist was posted on her page in Facebook.
"The newspaper "Azadlig" is my only source of information in jail. I need it as air and water. I hope that its issue will not stop. Let's help it and do our best," reads a statement by Ismayilova.
The Publishing house "Azerbaijan" threatens to stop the publication of the newspaper "Azadlig" because of debts. In turn, the editors cannot get kits money from the state printing firm-distributor "Gasid".
Khadija Ismayilova was arrested in December 2014, and subsequently sentenced to 7.5 years in prison on charges of economic crimes. However, the journalist has been recognized as a political prisoner. She is being persecuted because of corruption investigations in the higher echelons of power in Azerbaijan.
