Lavrov Discusses Karabakh Situation with OSCE Minsk Group
On September 27, within the UN General Assembly, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a meeting with the Co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group J. Warlick (USA), P. Andre (France) and I.V. Popov (Russia), as well Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman on Nagorno-Karabakh A. Kasprzyk.
As the press service of the Foreign Ministry said, the sides discussed topical issues of the Karabakh settlement and the current situation in the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the line of contact.
"I am very pleased that an opportunity has appeared to compare our notes and make sure we can do more in addition to the steps already taken to move forward in the process of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement," Lavrov said, opening the meeting.
"Each of the co-chairing countries is committed to this process, whether we're talking about the French or the American initiative in this direction, or the efforts of Russia, taking into account our relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan," Lavrov is quoted by ITAR-TASS.
