Robert Cekuta: It is not a frozen conflict

 
«According to the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair James Warlick, we are concerned about the rising tension on the line of contact," said  the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert whipped in an interview with reporters on Friday. The Ambassador noted that the Co-Chairs are working to reduce tensions. "To change the situation we are discussing with the parties the possible steps. We do not consider the conflict frozen. When people die, it's not a frozen conflict," he said. According to him, the parties should take steps to reduce tension and the peaceful settlement of the conflict. Cekuta also announced the forthcoming visit to the region OSCE Minsk Group. Speaking about bilateral relations, the Ambassador praised the level of economic relations between the US and Azerbaijan. "We will make efforts for the further development of relations. Over 20 years we have been cooperating in the field of oil and gas. Great potential exists in other areas too. Currently we are developing relations with agriculture, the development of the Internet. In agriculture, we are working with farmers, and are  interested in importing vegetables from Azerbaijan to the United States, he said.
