The Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan files a lawsuit against a citizen of Switzerland

Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office appealed to the Swiss for the criminal activities of a citizen of this country Vartan Sirmakes for illegal visit to the occupied territories of the country and an illegal business there. Sirmakes, a co-founder and CEO of "Franck Muller Group" created by him with a group of persons was engaged in illegal economic activities in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, the press service of the Prosecutor General. To promote internationally established illegal regime in the occupied territories, Sirmakes took part without the consent of the relevant state bodies of Azerbaijan in the opening ceremony of the gold mine in the village of Vejneli fields Zangilan region, and for that he illegally crossed the state border. The Investigation Department for Serious Crimes of the filed a lawsuits under Articles 318.2 (illegal crossing border of the Azerbaijan Republic), 281.2 (open calls against the state,) and 192.2.2 (illegal business.) The Prosecutor General's Office sent to Switzerland a request for legal assistance to bring Sirmakes to justice. Operational-investigative actions in the criminal case continue, reads the conclusion of the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
