Russia Deploys Military Helicopters to Armenia
The Russian military base Erebuni near Yerevan has been strengthened with combat and transport helicopters, the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
"By the end of the year another batch of helicopters will be supplied. The helicopters are posted on the adapted parking next to the MiG-29 aircraft of the Russian airforce unit. The assembling of the helicopters will be held within a month, after which the pilots will start scheduled flights," the military office stated.
As part of this shipment, Armenia will be transferred seven attack helicopters Mi-24P and Mi-8MT transport helicopters.
