Armenia to hold largest Russian military drills
About 3,000 soldiers and officers and 500 vehicles, including MiG-29 jets from the Erebuni Airfield in Yerevan, from the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia will be mobilized for drills at the Kamkhud and Alagyaz training grounds on October 13-19, News Armenia reports.
Tactical drills will involve all units of the Russian military base in the Southern Military District. Soldiers will move about a thousand kilometers. 300,000 shots, including 30,000 artillery shots, will be made.
The number of drills and shells increased 4.5 times this year.
