Moscow admits that the meeting Aliyev-Sargsyan gave no results

The meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Bern  did not give any results, but  Russia will continue its efforts in this direction, said at  a press briefing on Thursday,  a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. "We believe that the summit  is a definite step in the work on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The presidents have had the opportunity to talk one-on-one, and discuss all the issues, clarify positions on controversial issues; in particular, the tense situation on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces, said she. Mediatory  activity of the OSCE will continue. In addition, the Russian side will undertake "independent effort" to assist the parties to reach a compromise on the basis agreed with the co-MG approaches, she said.
