Russia carries out creeping occupation of Georgia, Margvelashvili
Giorgi Margvelashvili, the President of Georgia has accused Russia of carrying out creeping occupation against Georgia. Speaking today in Baku at the Global Forum, he said that "the overall security in the Caucasus region violate creeping Russian occupation in Georgia, the events in Ukraine, the growing threat of terrorism and refugee crisis."
"Today, 20% of the territory of Georgia is occupied by Russia, and 15% of our population are IDPs. Despite this, Georgia not a member of NATO, is able to make the biggest contribution to global security support for the mission," Margvelashvili said.
