Chechnya is safer than UK - Kadyrov
MOSCOW, May 4 (Itar-Tass) - Head of Russia’s Republic of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in response to the UK Foreign Office's warning against tourist visits to the North Caucasus said his republic is safer than the United Kingdom.
“England’s Foreign Office warns against visits to the North Caucasus,” he wrote in his Twitter. “I am stating with entire responsibility that it is safer in Chechnya than in England! Welcome!”
On Friday, the Foreign Office issued a warning against whatever trips to Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan and some parts in the Stavropol region. The list also included North Ossetia, Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria.
