Russia terminates agreement on transit of Azerbaijani oil through its territory
MOSCOW, May 14 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree terminating the Russian-Azerbaijani agreement on the transit of Azerbaijani oil through its territory.
The document was placed on the legal information portal on Tuesday.
The decree was signed by the head of government on May 5.
The two countries signed the agreement in Moscow on January 18, 1996.
Medvedev instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to notify the Azerbaijan side of the decision.
