Chief Architect of Dagestanskie Ogni arrested
Category: Ismatullah Rakhmetov, the head of the division for architecture and city planning of Dagestanskie Ogni, suspected of taking a bribe, has been put into custody, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reported on Friday.
Rakhmetov was detained at the moment of money transfer on June 18. According to investigators, he claimed 250,000 roubles from a resident of Dagestanskie Ogni for assistance in receiving a land plot for commercial construction.
After the court decided to restrict Rakhmetov's freedom by detention, he was put into the SIZO (pre-trial prison), said Yegor Balashov, the spokesman of the ICRF for Dagestan.
"He is in the SIZO of Makhachkala," Balashov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent without specifying exactly when the court had arrested Rakhmetov.
