Daghestani wrestlers win nine medals at the European freestyle wrestling championship
Category: Makhachkala, June 21, 2013. Daghestan young wrestlers won nine medals at the European freestyle wrestling championship, the executive director of Daghestan Wrestling Federation Abshin Abshinov says. The competition came to the end in Montenegro on June 20.
The young wrestlers, as part of the Russian combined team gained three gold, two silver and one bronze medals. Three awards of the highest value were obtained by Daghestani sportsmen acting for Azerbaijani team.
It should be noted that due to achievements of Daghestan wrestlers the combined teams of Daghestan and Azerbaijan won the first and the second places respectively at the continental championship.
