PACE Pre-electoral Mission to Visit Azerbaijan
The election observation mission of the PACE September 11-13, will visit Azerbaijan to review the progress of the campaign for the presidential election on October 9.
According to the Council of Europe, a delegation of seven MPs led by the British parliamentarian Robert Walter will assess the pre-election situation.
The mission will meet with President Ilham Aliyev, the other presidential candidates, and representatives of opposition parties in the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF).
The program of the visit includes a meeting with representatives of NGOs and the media. Following the visit, a report will be made available on the findings of the mission on the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan.
