Leyla Yunus can be placed to the punishment ward

Leyla Yunus, the Director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy, who is currently in the pre-trial prison N1 in Kurdakhani said about preparing a provocation against her, and on Friday, September 5, she may be placed to the punishment ward.
She said about psychological pressure on her by the prison matron Nazaket Mamedova and a prisoner Nariya Huseynova who are in the same ward with her.
All attempts to meet with the leadership of the jail are futile. She is diabetic and is not provided adequate medical care.
Leyla Yunus was arrested on July 30 after along with other human rights activists she made a single list of political prisoners in Azerbaijan. She and her spouse Arif are charged with high treason.
