OSCE Secretary General Looks Forward to Meeting of Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan
This autumn a meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible, said the OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, speaking at the Permanent Council of the CSTO in Moscow.
He said he discussed the Karabakh conflict with CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha. "We are concerned about the growing violence in the region and on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan. There is a need to work with the political leadership," RIA quotes Zannier.
"We had a meeting with the Foreign Ministers at the General Assembly in New York and a meeting of the OSCE Minsk Group. We hope another meeting could be held during the autumn. We hope that a meeting with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be possible," he added.
