The Court again does not release the activists of NIDA Movement

Today, Baku, Nasimi District Court dismissed the petition of the activists of NIDA Movement, Rashad Hasanov and Uzeyir Mammedli asking to change measure of restraint on house arrest. NIDA Movement regarded the arrest of its members politically motivated.

Hasanov and Mammadov were arrested along with other five members of the NIDA Movement in March this year on charges of illegal possession of explosives.

International human rights organization Amnesty International considers all arrested activists “prisoners of conscience.”
