Dagestan: complaint about threats addressed to advocates Sapiyat Magomedova and Musa Suslanov checked

The Khasavyurt Interdistrict Investigating Division of the Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for Dagestan has instituted a criminal case on the fact of threats received by advocates Sapiyat Magomedova and Musa Suslanov.

 

Let us remind you that in early June, advocates Sapiyat Magomedova and Musa Suslanov claimed receiving demands from unidentified persons to refuse to represent interests of relatives of Gamzatov brothers killed in Kizlyar. The demands were accompanied by threats of physical violence.

 

"On September 4, on the fact of threats to advocates Musa Suslanov and Sapiyat Magomedova, the criminal case was instituted under Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation threat or violence in connection with administrating of justice or conducting preliminary investigation. In accordance with the decision of the investigator, the case was accepted to investigation," the "Caucasian Knot" was told by a representative of the Investigating Department of the ICRF for Dagestan.
