YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, ARMENPRESS. Not the sportsmen, but legionnaires will introduce Azerbaijan in the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Armenpress reports it citing BBC.

It is noted that mountain-skiers Patrick Brahner ( Austria ), Cedric Hotts( Switzerland ) , Italian Gaia Bassani Antivari, as well as former Russians Alexei Sitnikov - Julia Zlobina skating dance couple will introduce themselves under Azerbaijan flag in Sochi.

BBC informs that Azerbaijan has participated in the Winter Olympics with exclusively foreign athletes since 1998 and inspire of that Azerbaijan did not register any success in those games.

Sport commentator Elchin Jalilov named such approach self-deception at the interview with Haqqin.az. "We go to a northern country and find athletes that are not even included in top ten or five in their hometowns,” he said.
