Russian President Vladimir Putin came to attend an opening ceremony of the 11th Winter Paralympic Games in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi together with International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven and they took seats on a stand at Fisht Stadium.
Organisers contemplated the main idea of the opening ceremony to show balance as a temporary state between rise and fall. This moment of reached harmony is very fragile and requires major efforts not to lose it. Paralympic movement gave a chance to people to believe in themselves, find not only harmony inside them, but also gain freedom of movement, thought and self-expression. The example of Paralympians sparks up hearts with honour and admiration with the strength of human spirit.
