Senator Cardin calls on for the release of NIDA activists

 
The U.S. Senator Benjamin Cardin called for the release of arrested youth activists of NIAD Movement.

"Azerbaijan should respect the rule of law and acquit the NIDA defendants, Freedom to prisoners of conscience in Azerbaijan," Senator wrote on his page on Twitter microblog. This statement provoked a strong support on the part of Azerbaijani Twitter users.

Trial in the case of eight young activists of NIDA Movement is coming to the end in the Serious Crimes Court. The prosecutor asked to condemn them to long prison terms from six to eight years. Sentencing is expected in the near future. All wine is activists had called for a protest against the deaths of soldiers in the army in peace time.
